Hayya! Rules and Regulations


  • The acceptance of a membership is at the sole discretion of EMAAR, who reserve the right to accept or refuse any membership application or guest without explanation or reason.
  • Members must accompany guests at all times and are directly responsible for them during the visit.
  • Members are required to produce their membership card at reception prior to using the facilities.
  • The management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone unable to produce a valid membership card.
  • Members must comply with the rules and regulations of the club. Repeated failure to do so may result in the cancellation of membership and forfeiture of any fees.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Any loss of membership card should be reported to the club management and a new card is to be requested in writing for which a charge in the sum of Dhs 50 will be made.
  • Only the people named on the card may use the facilities. The use of a card by any other person may result in the cancellation of the membership and forfeiture of fees.
  • All persons entering the club and using the facilities do so at their own risk. Neither the designated club nor any associated company or body including EMAAR, can accept responsibility or liability for any injury, loss, fatality or damage caused to any person or property.
  • Parents are responsible at all times for the behaviour of their children. Children below the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult or be taking part in a supervised activity.
  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the gymnasium or steam room. Children under 14 may only use the Jacuzzi under adult supervision.
  • Members and guests on medication or who have a heart condition or are pregnant should not use the Jacuzzi or steam rooms.
  • The management does not accept responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage caused to any item, valuables or personal belongings brought into the club, and members do so at their own risk. Lockers are provided for your convenience and members are urged to use them for clothes and personal belongings.
  • Towels are available for rent at reception for 5 dhs on deposit of membership card or 50 dhs. Unreturned towels will be charged at 50 dhs each.
  • Food and beverage may not be brought into the Club premises from outside.
  • Pets are not permitted within any part of the club.
  • All persons are required to wear appropriate clothing when using any of recreational facilities.
  • Only non marking footwear may be worn when playing squash or tennis.
  • Games or activities which are disturbing or dangerous to others are not permitted.
  • Sound equipment, such as radios and compact disk players are not permitted except with the use of headphones.
  • The use of the Club and its’ facilities is subject to the terms of the notices displayed which are incorporated into and form a part of these rules and regulations.
  • Membership cards remain the property of EMAAR.
  • Housemaids and nannies are not counted as family and will not be issued with a membership card. Housemaids and nannies are not permitted into the facility as sole supervisory adult for any child.
  • The use of rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles and scooters is strictly prohibited within the Club area with the exception of the Skate Park..
  • The recreational facilities are open from 6am to 10pm with no exception.
  • Pool Usage

  • Members are required to shower before entering the pool.
  • Members are advised to avoid swimming alone.
  • Members are advised to wait at least two hours after eating and drinking before swimming.
  • No clothing other than swim suits may be worn in the pool at any time.
  • Use of the water slide is limited to one person at a time.
  • Persons using the water slide must go down legs first with arms across their chest.
  • Persons using the water slide do so at their own risk.
  • The Lifeguards and pool attendants instructions must be adhered to at all times.
  • No form of jewellery, e.g. watches, bracelets or chains should be worn when using the water slide.
  • Toddlers are not allowed to use the pool without adult supervision.
  • Toddlers must wear arm bands at all times.
  • Running and rough play is not allowed around the pool area.
  • The main pool area is for proficient swimmers only.
  • Junior members should never use the main pool without adult supervision.
  • Diving is not allowed from any area around the pool.
  • Junior members are the responsibility of their parents.
  • Lap swimming must be preformed within the designated lined off area.
  • No unsupervised children, junior members or guests are permitted to use any of the pool facilities.
  • The use of inflatable items other than buoyancy aids is strictly prohibited.
  • The use of balls, Frisbees, and other throw and catch games is strictly prohibited in the swimming pool.
  • Gym

  • All first time users of the gym must undergo an exercise orientation with a fitness instructor.
  • The fitness Instructors maintain the right to refuse entry to the gym or equipment without any explanation or reason.
  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the gym, unless they are participating in a supervised, specialist class under the guidance of a recognized Fitness Instructor.
  • Junior members aged 16-18 may use the gym with their parents consent, having signed a disclaimer form.
  • Appropriate clothing including t-shirt and footwear with closed toes must be worn at all times. Swimsuits are not permitted in the gym.
  • Eating and smoking is strictly prohibited in the gym.
  • Aerobics Class Booking Guidelines

  • Aerobics classes can be booked by phone or personally at the Reception Desk up to 7 days in advance.
  • Participants are required to turn up in time to confirm their bookings and pay at the reception desk in order for the class to start on time.
  • No persons will be admitted once the class has started. Instructors are advised to follow this procedure for health and safety reasons.
  • If you cannot attend a class please cancel at least 1 hour in advance.
  • Appropriate sports clothing and shoes must be worn at all times when participating in any class.
  • Members are recommended to consult with the instructor if it is the first time they are attending a class.
  • Squash Courts

  • The booking time is 45 minutes, per membership, per day.
  • Bookings can be made up to 5 days in advance through reception.
  • Any court not being used 10 minutes after the booked time will be re-allocated to other members, with the exception for courts being used for coaching or match games.
  • Only non-marking balls may be used in the squash courts.
  • Appropriate sports clothing must be worn at all time whilst on the squash courts.
  • No activity other than squash may be practiced on the squash courts.
  • Tennis Courts

  • The booking time is 60 minutes, per membership, per day at peak times.
  • Bookings can be made up to 5 days in advance through reception.
  • Any court not being used 10 minutes after the booked time will be re-allocated to other members, with the exception for courts being used for coaching or match games.
  • Appropriate sports clothing must be worn at all time whilst on the tennis courts.
  • Multi Purpose Hall

  • All users must be dressed in proper sports attire. Only flat, non-marking rubber soled shoes are to be worn on all playing courts.
  • Skate Park

  • Park open during posted hours. No loitering after facility is closed.
  • Use of the Skate Park is at your own risk.
  • Safety equipment must be worn at all times. This includes a helmet, knee and elbow pads. Closed toed hightop non-slick shoes, gloves, wrist braces and hip pads are encouraged, but not required.
  • In the event of an emergency or injury, all skaters/skateboarders must discontinue skating until further directed by County staff.
  • No food, beverages or smoking allowed in the fenced area.
  • No destroying or defacing public property.
  • Skaters/skateboarders must follow the direction of the supervisory staff at all times. The decision of the Hayya! Staff’s is final.
  • Recklessness, horseplay, foul language or any inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and will result it your removal from the park.
  • Hayya! staff reserves the right to limit the number of skaters/skateboarders using the facility to prevent overcrowding.
  • Members Responsibilities

  • Members shall conduct themselves in a proper manner with the consideration of other members. Members failing to do so will be asked to leave the Club premises immediately.
  • Any person who loses damages or destroys the property of the Club shall be held responsible and liable for the repair or replacement of such property at their sole expense.
  • Guest Sign In

  • Details of the guests and the member signing them in must be registered at reception.
  • Guest use of the gym will be subject to a brief medical questionnaire (PAR Q) and possible medical check/be required to obtain medical referral prior to using the gym.
  • The sponsoring member will be help responsible for their guests behaviour and actions
  • Guests may partake in organized Lakes activities where space allows. Additional charges may be applied when appropriate.
  • The Management reserves the right to

  • Cancel and terminate any membership of The Lakes Club for violation of these rules and regulations.
  • Add, alter or revoke any of these rules and regulations.
  •
